Privacy Policy

The short version
Veto's public site and password-protected demo use sample data only. Do not enter real transaction materials, account numbers, or other sensitive information into the site or demo. If the file test and redaction gate point you to a draft, attach only a closed or redacted copy after office review.
What we collect
- Contact details you submit on the contact form: name, email, office, and non-sensitive notes.
- Waitlist signups: email and optional office name.
- Blog subscription email when you opt in on tryveto.com/subscribe.
- Demo access uses an HttpOnly session cookie after password or signed-link entry. We do not store the password in the browser.
- Basic page views via Cloudflare Web Analytics on tryveto.com (cookieless, privacy-first). We may also use Plausible Analytics (cookieless, no cross-site tracking). Standard web logs for security and operations.
- Email correspondence when you write to us.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, government IDs, bank account numbers, or escrow file contents through this website or the demo. Redacted materials separately sent by email after the redaction gate are used only to produce the sample Veto Record and follow up with you.
How we use it
- To respond to contact, file-test, redaction-gate, and waitlist requests.
- To send blog updates when you subscribe.
- To improve the site, demo, and review receipt format.
- To measure interest and decide what to build next.
- To meet legal and security obligations.
Visitor identification and cookies
When you visit or log in to our website, cookies and similar technologies may be used by our online data partners or vendors to associate these activities with other personal information. We use RB2B to identify website visitors (person and company) so our team can follow up when an escrow professional visits. RB2B is SOC2 Type II and CCPA/CPRA compliant. Person-level identification is US-only and uses business contact data from public sources and data partners.
We do not sell the personal information identified through visitor identification. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and you have the right to opt out of visitor-identification tracking. To opt out, contact us and we will remove you from the visitor-identification audience.
If cookie consent is enabled (a banner will appear), visitor-identification scripts load only after you accept. Where no banner is shown, visitor-identification operates under our legitimate interest in understanding who is visiting for sales follow-up, consistent with CCPA/CPRA.
Who we share with
We do not sell personal information. We share limited information with vendors that host the site, send email (Resend), provide analytics, and identify website visitors (RB2B), only as needed to run the service. Production use or unredacted file review requires a separate written agreement before materials are exchanged.
Retention
We keep request submissions and correspondence for as long as needed to respond and follow up, then delete or anonymize them on a reasonable schedule. Aggregate analytics may be retained longer.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information you have submitted. Send a request.
Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect the site and its data. No system is perfectly secure. Because the demo is for evaluation, please continue to treat it as a sample environment and avoid entering sensitive materials.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
